Your choice

Unsnag uses optional Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and which internal or LinkedIn links visitors choose. Analytics is off until you actively select Accept analytics. Reject leaves the optional GA script unloaded. Neither choice blocks reading articles or following links.

What the browser stores

• Analytics preference: the value accepted or rejected is held under unsnag_analytics_consent in local storage to remember your choice. This is necessary for recording and respecting that preference.
• Google Analytics: after acceptance, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits and sessions. Page views and certain navigation events may be sent to Google. These cookies are not necessary for the website to work.
• Hosting and fonts: this site uses system fonts already available on your device, without requesting font resources from Google. If the website is deployed through Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare may process technical requests and security logs to deliver and protect the pages. This is separate from optional Google Analytics; see the Privacy Policy for details.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

Use Cookie settings in the footer to show the choices again. Selecting Reject after previously accepting stops further GA events through this site's code and attempts to delete first-party GA cookies that are accessible from this domain. The GA script already loaded in the current tab cannot be unloaded, and your browser may retain other provider-controlled data. Reloading after rejecting provides a fresh page load without activating GA. You may also clear stored data using browser settings.

LinkedIn and external websites

A click to LinkedIn opens LinkedIn's website; LinkedIn controls its own cookies and related privacy practices. Unsnag does not place a LinkedIn tracking pixel on its pages.
